A few days
Been away for a tad while as my boyfriend, some friends and I all drove down for a wee trip to Brighton, celebrating our friends 21st birthday. Which mainly consisted of crashing anywhere that anyone would take us, late-night BBQ/drink fest on the pebbly beach while trying to release a load of lanterns. seriously good times.

Versus
VERSUS FALL 2010 COLLECTION.
They look quite playful with their pleated organza-petticoated, navy and black satin dance dresses. Contrasting geometric decoration with a fiercely flirty "cupcake- like" skirt. Really like these dresses, the four below are my favouites.

Arora for Swatch
As soon as I heard that fashion designer, Manish Arora, was creating his own watches for Swatch, I instantly had to have a looky. The poster/leaflet thing below processes the same sort of characteristics eg, Indian influenced patterns, that are seen in his designs with fashion.
This is my favourite design from the Arora watches.
These two watches are also quite yummy, especially the white with the purple dial (OOoo ahhhh) also considering I've been keen on purching one that's white for awhile now, however the fact that its a mixture of white and my favorite colour, the eye popping purple, just basically makes it even more likely that I'll be buying this veeeerrry soon!! :)

Autumn tones
Rich leaves of rusty shades with added tones of caramelized copper. The use of different brown shades were used throughout everything in Anna Sui collection, from bronzed lips, cheeks to eyes. DKNY also showed a complete wash of coffee browns with with added essences of deep red.

Speaking of which I came across these interesting handmade jewellery on Etsy.
I love jewellery that give off the impression of being made from lost objects to mechanical parts. These are all so beautiful and highly detailed, I don't know which parts to start looking at first. Even the Moon Raven jewellery, appears so delicate and fragile, almost resembling the old bird & lizard skulls. Prices are actually very good for the time that must of gone into each piece. I'll defiantly will be purchasing a few (if not most) of these.

Anyone who knows me, knows I've got a little thing for the 1920's.
Such a great tutorial and although flappers wore a lot of heavy makeup, looks like these can still be worn, just by taking a few key aspects, example the eye brows and small beetle-red stained lips, then watering them down.

What katie does
I first heard of fashion designer Katie Gallagher sometime during last year. Apart from her own striking appearance with her white/platinum sliver hair and monochrome wardrobe, her work is sculptural and textural which is always a good foundation when it comes to making something that little bit more interesting, in my point of view.
SS 2010 COLLECTION.

The use of draping and detailing was a recurring theme in this collection. Textured tights are what miss Katie Gallagher is known for...
AW 2010 COLLECTION.
Entitled: "THE HEART OF THE WOODS & WHAT I FOUND THERE."
I really want these leggings. They are so gorgeous :P ^^
The use of different textures of fabrics, layered and pieced together works so well. Even the decision to go for a all to familiar monochrome palette enables the creamy whites, blacks and sliver transparent fragile materials to appear tough and sturdy.

Teased bushes of hair, gives the appearance of the models being lost but fierce woodland creatures. With the chillingly cool tones of colours used for makeup...not forgetting the drawn on eye scars, all add to the "wild- tough- bitch" persona.
